Say NO to a Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccine

(PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SIGN THE PETITION BELOW!)

    Background

We have entered a very strange time where the threat of COVID-19 has changed so much about our daily lives.

Countries are racing to develop a vaccine for the disease, but though this may seem like a good idea, the means employed to develop this vaccine may be far from ethical.

Many vaccines are derived from aborted fetal cell lines, and people of conscience must have the choice to refuse such vaccines and/or seek alternative measures to keep themselves safe during a pandemic.

This petition is both a call to our government representatives to create ethical vaccines and to not use force that violates our Charter freedoms to impose any medical interventions on our population.

Vaccines use aborted fetal stem cells

Many vaccines are derived from aborted fetal cell lines. (For a complete list of ethical and non-ethical vaccines go here. For a complete list currently being developed for Covid-19, go here.)

Many think, erroneously, that the ethical concerns about aborted fetal stem cells used to derive vaccines are of little concern when compared with the overall public safety concern. The ‘common good’ at stake surpasses the ethical concern of a vaccine derived from what is often thought of as a couple of abortions performed in the 1960s.

According to researcher Debi Vinnedge of Children of God for Life,This is probably one of the biggest falsehoods that has been propagated on an unsuspecting American public for decades.” See her article here. Watch her recorded webinar with LifeCanada here.

The fact is, hundreds of babies were aborted for the explicit purpose of using their body parts for the development of vaccines for several diseases starting in the early 1900s, and many of those babies were in advanced gestational stages of 18 weeks or more.

For a list of aborted fetal stem cell lines, and the numbers of babies aborted to derive these cell lines, go here.

    Government enforcement

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised that there would be no 'return to normal' without a vaccine: “Normality as it was before will not come back full-on until we get a vaccine for this… That will be a very long way off…”

He has also informed Canadians (Aug. 31, 2020) that Canada has agreed to buy more than 100 million Covid-19 vaccines from Novavax Inc. and Johnson & Johnson.

In the US, a letter to governors dated Aug. 27 from Robert Redfield, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, told states thatin the near future” they will be receiving permit applications from McKesson Corp., which has contracted with CDC to distribute vaccines to places including state and local health departments and hospitals."

With the imminent arrival of vaccines in both Canada and the US, many are concerned that these may be mandated, or that the vaccine exemptions for religious and philosophical reasons might be removed.

There are further concerns that even if vaccine exemptions are not removed, there will be other penalties such as the denial of entry into schools, offices, places of worship, stores and even the inability to travel without proof of vaccination for COVID-19.

It is a serious intrusion by the state to demand that a person inject a set of substances into their body or the body of their child they do not want or need in order to access basic public benefits. The withholding of government services from citizens who are otherwise entitled to such services in order to compel compliance with government policy represents government overreach for which there is rarely justification in a free and democratic society,” wrote lawyer James Kitchen in his submission on New Brunswick Bill 11, (previously Bill 39).

    The Rush to Market

The speed at which these vaccines have been produced is also raising serious concerns. Before the COVID-19 vaccine, one of the fastest vaccines ever created was the mumps vaccine, brought to market in about 4 years.

“Being ready is reasonable. Cutting short phase 3 trials before you get the information you need isn’t,” said Dr. Paul Offit, a Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia immunization expert who sits on the FDA's vaccine advisory committee.

Ashish Jha, Dean of Brown University's Public Health School noted that unlike a therapeutic that is given to sick people who may have no alternative, a vaccine is given to healthy people, “so you have a much higher burden of proof,” in terms of safety.

Dear Patty Hajdu, Minister of Health

    PETITION TO PROTECT VACCINE EXEMPTIONS

We have entered a strange time where the threat of the Coronavirus has changed so much about our daily lives.

This petition is both a call to our government representatives to create ethical vaccines and to not use force that violates our Charter freedoms to impose these medical interventions on our population.

We are calling on you and other politicians to support ethical vaccines that do not use aborted fetal cells, and to protect conscientious objections and exemptions from vaccinations, in keeping with our Charter freedoms.

Canadians must have their conscience rights protected. "The Constitution is the supreme law in Canada,  it represents Canada's political and legal foundation. It exists to put a check on the arbitrary exercise of government power. The Charter constitutionalizes many individual rights and fundamental freedoms. One of the primary purposes of the Charter is to protect Canadians from being restrained in their choices by government and from being coerced by government to make choices they do not want."1 In particular, section 7 of the Charter states that all Canadians have the right to "life, liberty and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice."

With this in mind, we the undersigned ask that you continue to uphold exemptions from vaccinations, allowing Canadians the right to choose whether to avail themselves of these interventions or not, according to the dictates of their conscience, and to not withhold services from citizens who are otherwise entitled to such services in order to compel compliance with government policy.

Protect Babies and Moms from Abortion Funding

Every child, before or after birth, is precious, with an inalienable right to life. Maternity is an inestimable gift, not a disease to be eliminated.

Abortion is not true health care. Attacking life or maternity is deeply wrong. Using public funds for abortion is bad public policy.

In Canada, New Brunswick’s policy is more pro-life than most provinces. New Brunswick does not fund private clinics which perform abortions on demand. This policy saves lives.

Canadian abortion rights activists, however, are pushing to change that. Some federal party leaders are in their corner. Much of the media is blind to the violence that abortion represents. False arguments are rampant about New Brunswick’s policy allegedly violating the Canada Health Act.

Pro-lifers should be concerned. The power of anti-life political correctness as just outlined unfortunately is great. New Brunswick’s policy urgently needs to be supported by the friends of life from every province and territory.

New Brunswick’s position on private clinics is on solid ground both morally and legally. The Canada Health Act is silent on abortion. A province is free to restrict abortion funding. And they certainly should.

It’s up to us: The lives of preborn children, and the true needs of moms, need to be vigorously defended.

Petition to New Brunswick’s Premier, Minister of Health and Minister of Finance

    The Hon. Blaine Higgs, Premier
Cc: The Hon. Hugh J.A. Flemming, Minister of Health
Cc: The Hon. Ernie Steeves, Minister of Finance

    Mr. Premier:

I urge you to maintain the current policy of not funding private abortion clinics.

Every child’s life is precious. Pregnancy is not a disease to be eliminated. The present policy respects life and maternity. It makes good sense.

Funding abortion on demand is the wrong way to go.

Government programs pertaining to pregnancy should aim at helping both mother and child. I strongly encourage you to make New Brunswick a leader in this type of care!
