to LifeCanada Members
We wanted to share with you some important information
about the affinity credit card services that BMO has been providing
to LifeCanada members.
As a commercial enterprise, BMO has never intended,
nor does it wish to be involved in a controversy over what so many
consider to be personal and private decisions.
Unfortunately, providing a strictly-commercial affinity
card for LifeCanada has created the false perception that we may,
in some manner, endorse a particular point of view. This is not
the case.
For that reason, and with regret, BMO has decided
to end this commercial relationship at the conclusion of our contractual
agreement on July 31, 2006.
Please be assured that we value your business and
we will work with those of you affected by this decision to ensure
that your credit card needs are being met.
Incidentally, we also want you to know that, as a
matter of policy, BMO will be reviewing existing and future affinity
card relationships in a manner consistent with this decision.
