| Sexual vs Asexual Reproduction
Embryos can be created either sexually, through fertilization of
egg and sperm (in vivo or in vitro.); or asexually, through cloning.
According to the document “A Final Critique of C-13”
on Lifesite’s website, the following is a list of the current
cloning techniques, supposedly not all of which are banned by Bill
C-6:
• “Twinning” (blastomere separation and blastocyst
splitting)
• Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT)
• Germ Line Cell Nuclear Transfer (GLCNT)
• Pronuclei Transfer
• Mitochondrial Transfer
• Germ Line Gene Transfer
For descriptions of each of these types of cloning, see www.lifesite.net/features/stemcellembryo/c13finalcritique.pdf)
